Re: Hispanic/Latino Health Fair
Since 1998 the Hispanic/Latino Coalition has been involved in efforts focused on advocacy, outreach, and support of the Louisville area Hispanic/Latino community. One of our main events it the annual Health Fair. Each year the Annual Hispanic/Latino Health Fair takes place from 8:30am-1pm on a Saturday, in June at the Americana Community Center, 4801 Southside Drive (map).
Each year close to 400 visitors attend the fair and we provide over 200 health screening exams. Our primary goal is to identify individuals with immediate health needs and connect them with appropriate medical services. Our secondary goal is to educate the general Spanish-speaking community on healthy choices, disease prevention and health services available in Louisville through the exhibitor fair and on-site workshops.
It is only with the support of our many community partners that we are able to make this event a success. We hope your organization will be able to support this unique and very important outreach effort.
We hope you will be a part of this wonderful community event.
